Founder

Toby Ng is founder and creative director at Hong Kong-based Toby Ng Design which he established in 2014. Prior to this, he graduated from Central Saint Martins, London in Graphic Design and practised internationally including London, Singapore and Hong Kong. Specialising in graphic design and brand identity, Ng rigorously tackles design challenges with wit and aesthetically meaningful communication.



Recognised in the field as a graphic designer of this generation, Ng is the winner of numerous prestigious awards both internationally and locally. Making his mark from the beginning, he was honoured with the Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award and selected by Perspective Global as one of the top 40 design talents under the age of 40 in Asia, while also being named as one of the 36 Young Designers in Asia by Designnet magazine.



Ng’s works have been widely published and showcased in world-renown galleries including the National Portrait Gallery, London. In particular, one of Ng’s personal initiatives ‘The World of 100’ was published in book form and distributed universally, most notably at the MoMA, New York. Besides inspiring his creative team, he often shares his ideas to the wider community at international conferences and universities such as TEDx. Most recently he was appointed as the Branding and Communication Design jury of the globally acclaimed New York Art Directors Club Annual Awards.

Recognised internationally, our work has received numerous achievements including the British D&AD Awards, New York One Show Awards, New York Type Director Club Awards, German Red Dots Awards, Tokyo Type Director Club Awards, HKDA Global Design Awards and Design for Asia Awards. Introduced by Monocle as a Hong Kong design staple we also hold the honour of being the only independent studio featured as one of Hong Kong’s hottest agencies in the Campaign Brief Creative Rankings.
